Elisa Fornalé
I have an expertise on migration, climate change and human rights. Within the framework of the Swiss National Centre of Competence in Research (NCCR) Trade Regulation, I was part of the Work Package 4 on Migration and Trade achieved key results; and I also co-organized with dr. Marion Panizzon the 2011 Global Forum on Migration and Development with the Swiss Federal Office for Migration.
In my capacity of SNSF Professor, I am implementing the project “Framing Environmental Degradation, Human Mobility and Human Development as a Matter of Common Concern“ (CLI_M_CO2); I am also Responsible Scientist of the ‘Climate Security with Local Authorities’ (CLISEL) Project, funded by the EU Horizon 2020 programme and by the Swiss State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI).
CLI_M_CO2 contributes to the conceptualization of environmentally induced migration through a normative framework grounded on the emerging principle of common concern; CLISEL explores the impacts of climate change on migration and the relevant security issues from the perspective of local authorities.
