Objective / Mission Statement:

ICVA is a global network of NGOs aiming to make humanitarian action more principled and effective by working collectively and independently to influence policy and practice. The ICVA vision is a world in which crises-affected populations are effectively protected, assisted, and enabled to rebuild their lives and livelihoods with dignity.

Key activities relevant to PDD:

Convening NGOs to exchange information; strategize and analyze on forced migration. ICVA works to equip and coordinate NGOs in their engagement in the global compacts and other forced migration policies. ICVA supports collective action and alliances that contribute to policy processes on forced migration issues. ICVA promotes NGO collaborations with other key stakeholders (e.g. States, UN agencies, etc.). The overall objective is to contribute to the development and implementation of policies that improve protection, assistance and durable solutions for refugees, internally displaced persons (IDPs) and migrants in vulnerable situations.
