The discussion was oriented around priority 4 of the Sendai framework, and notably the provisions on ‘(h) promoting disaster preparedness, response and recovery to ensure rapid and effective responses to disasters and related displacement’. Overall, States and other stakeholders were called upon to include provisions to address disaster displacement in a coherent way in local, national and regional DRR policies and strategies, including innovative multisectoral strategies and workplans (e.g., DRR, climate change adaptation and migration issues).
