Changing Climate, Moving People: Framing Migration, Displacement and Planned Relocation

In the past two decades, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) has developed a comprehensive policy, research and operational programme on migration, environment and climate change. The Organization’s interest in migration, environment and climate change stems from its dedication – outlined in the IOM Strategy – to explore emerging themes related to migration governance. Paying attention to these “new” issues is part of IOM’s commitment to supporting Member States find innovative solutions by turning challenges into opportunities.
