Forced Migration Review Feature on Climate crisis and local communities
FMR
Forced Migration Review Issue 65 includes a feature on the ‘Climate crisis and local communities’. Local communities around the world have been coping with the effects of a changing climate for decades. This feature focuses on the impact on local communities, their coping strategies, lessons arising, and broader questions of access, rights and justice. A future issue will focus on international response and policy. Articles in this feature include local strategies dealing with issues such as climate change adaptation, relocation and resettlement, internal migration and displacement, immobility, and gendered impacts. The feature draws on the experiences of communities in Africa, Asia and the Pacific, and Latin America. Forced Migration Review issue 64 is available in English, Arabic, Spanish and French at www.fmreview.org/issue64.
